Situated in the beautiful Valley of Praise, our church community is deeply connected to the people, stories and ministries of Lobethal.
Through partnership, service and shared events, we seek to support, uplift and walk alongside our neighbours. Below are some of the wonderful groups, services and community spaces that form part of our shared life together.
Lobethal Christian Community Care
Lobethal Christian Community Care is an initiative of the combined churches in Lobethal, working together to support individuals and families in need.
A Care Table is located in our church narthex for food donations, produce sharing and other practical items that can make a difference in someone’s week.

Lobethal Lutheran Reception Centre
Located at 10 Church Street, the Reception Centre is a versatile 100–120 seat venue available for hire. It’s an excellent space for weddings, celebrations, community gatherings and events, offering:
• Full amenities and kitchen
• Bar area and stage
• Heating and cooling
• Off-street parking

Valley of Praise Retirement Village
Situated at 85 Main Street, the Valley of Praise Retirement Village offers peaceful, secure living for retirees in 2 or 3 bedroom units with landscaped gardens and lock-up garages.
Residents enjoy a warm community atmosphere, a well-equipped Community Centre and convenient access to Main Street shops and services.

Lobethal Archives and Historical Museum
Hidden just behind the amphitheatre at 50 Main Street sits a remarkable volunteer-run museum dedicated to preserving Lobethal’s rich pioneer history.
Visitors can explore:
• Early settler artefacts
• Aboriginal Peramangk items
• Rare handmade artworks
• Antique household tools and books
• The 1845 Lutheran Seminary cottage
• Stories and collections from significant local families

The Living Nativity
A cherished tradition during the Lights of Lobethal, the Living Nativity is a gift from the Hills Christian churches to the community.
This beautiful re-enactment of the first Christmas includes:
• A cast of volunteers
• Choir and narration
• Traditional costumes
• A live nativity scene with animals
Performances run nightly each December at the amphitheatre on Main Street and continue to draw thousands of visitors each year.

Lobethal Christian Book Centre
Located at 52 Main Street, the Book Centre has grown from humble beginnings into a much-loved store run entirely by volunteers.
Visitors will find:
• Bibles and Christian literature
• Greeting cards and giftware
• Children’s and youth resources
• Calendars, diaries and devotionals
• A freebie table with pre-loved books
