About the Lobethal Lutheran Church

The Lobethal Lutheran Church is a welcoming faith community shaped by its history, people and place. Grounded in Lutheran tradition and open in spirit, we gather to worship, support one another and serve our wider community. Through faith, fellowship and care, we seek to share hope and create a place where everyone feels at home.

Located in the beautiful Valley of Praise in the Adelaide Hills, Lobethal Lutheran Church is a caring Christian community where people of all ages are invited to grow in faith, build meaningful connections and experience the love of Christ.

We are part of the Adelaide Hills Zone of Lutheran Churches and work closely with our neighbouring congregations in Birdwood, Spring Head and Woodside. Together, we seek to share God’s message of love, hope and salvation with our community.

We gather for worship every Sunday at 9.30am, followed by a cuppa and time to chat. Visitors, families and newcomers are always warmly welcomed.

Children and Family Ministry

We offer Grow Ministries resources and Faith Moments to support families through significant milestones, school transitions and everyday faith life.​

Confirmation

A one-year program for young people in Grade 7 and above, offering a solid foundation in the Christian faith and opportunities to build friendships within the church family.

Bible Study

Monthly Bible studies are held on. All are welcome to attend. The 4th Tuesday at 1.30pm (Church office). The 1st Wednesday prior to Women’s Fellowship.

Fellowship Groups

Shed Men: Monthly gatherings with BBQ tea and guest speakers.

Women’s Fellowship: Meets on the first Wednesday each month at 9.30am.

Visiting Group: A caring team offering support, encouragement and connection to those who may be lonely, unwell or needing a friendly visit.
