About the Lobethal Lutheran Church

The Lobethal Lutheran Church is part of the Adelaide Hills Zone of Lutheran Churches, working closely with the congregations in Birdwood, Spring Head and Woodside.

Our heart is to share God’s message of love, hope and salvation with our community.

We aim to create a space where people of all ages feel supported, valued and encouraged in their walk with Christ.

Community & Ministry at Lobethal Lutheran

At the Lobethal Lutheran Church, faith is lived out together. We offer ministries, study groups and gatherings for all ages, including monthly Bible studies, Confirmation for young people and resources to support families in their faith journey. We also host Fellowship groups such as Shed Men, Women’s Fellowship and a community Visiting Team. All offering friendship, encouragement and a sense of community for anyone seeking connection.

Bible Study

Monthly studies are held on the 4th Tuesday at 1.30pm in the Church office.

The 1st Wednesday prior to Women’s Fellowship.

All are welcome.

Children & Family Ministry

We provide a variety of resources and Faith Moments from Grow Ministries to support families during important milestones and everyday faith life.

Fellowship Groups

Shed Men: Monthly gatherings with BBQ tea and guest speakers.

Women’s Fellowship: Meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 9.30am, beginning with Bible Study.

Community Connections

Lobethal Lutheran Church is proud to be part of a vibrant local community. Through Lobethal Christian Community Care, we support those in need with shared donations and produce. Our Reception Centre is available for hire and provides a welcoming space for weddings, parties and gatherings. The Valley of Praise Retirement Village offers peaceful, secure living for retirees right in the heart of town, while the Archives and Historical Museum invites visitors to explore Lobethal’s rich heritage. Each December, the Living Nativity brings the Christmas story to life as part of the Lights of Lobethal celebrations. We also support the Lobethal Lutheran Netball Club, encouraging teamwork, connection and community spirit.
